◆I'm not a Buddhist, can I learn thangka?

Of course, you can learn thangka with us!

Paubha Art studio welcome all people with different religions as Thangka students. 

It isn't necessary to be Buddhist. As long as you are interested in Buddhism painting, respect and empathsize Buddhism, we are more than happy to have you with us.

 

◆What is the curriculum for the Thangka course?

The Thangka course has a fixed curriculum of six sessions.

1, Buddha's face (2 hour)

2、Buddha's body (2 hours)

3. Buddha's clothes (2 hour)

4. The face of Tara (female deity) (2 hour)

5. Tara's body (2 hours)

6. Tara's clothes (2 hour)

Eight hours are spent learning the basic Buddha and female deities (the basic common faces such as White Tara, Vajra Yuja Woman, etc.).Private lessons also follow this curriculum at first.Private lessons are followed by a discussion to decide what to paint.Most of the students go on to Vajrapani.

 

 

◆What is the curriculum of the paubha course?

There are no schools in Nepal that teach paubha art in a systematic way. In our online classes, we use original model images and methods. The way the class is conducted depends on your artistic ability.

 

◆Is there a textbook for the class and what do I need to prepare?

You do not need to purchase textbooks.

 

After confirming the transfer of tuition, we will send you an image of the textbook. Please print it out in A4 size. All you need to prepare is a piece of white paper larger than A4 size, a pencil, a ruler larger than 30 cm, an eraser, and a compass. Textbooks are included in the tuition. You do not need to buy anything.

 

◆Can I learn about gods that are not on the curriculum?

Yes, you can. After you learn the first six gods, you can draw them. If I want to redraw the model images, there will be an additional charge of $50 to $100.

 

◆Are there any pens or brushes that you recommend for drawing?

I recommend Pigma 0.5 and 0.25 pens. With these two types of pens, you can complete an A4 size thangka.

 

◆質問仏教徒ではありませんがタンカを学ぶことはできますか？

ポーバアートスタジオは異なる宗教の人々がともに学べるタンカ教室です。あなたが仏教以外の信仰を持っていても

仏教に共感と尊敬さえあれば、タンカを学ぶのに十分な理由です。皆さんの参加をお待ちしています。

 

◆質問 タンカコースのカリキュラムを教えてください。

タンカは６回決まったカリキュラムをします。

１、ブッダの顔(二時間)

２、ブッダの体(二時間)

３、ブッダの衣(二時間)

４、ターラ(女尊)の顔(二時間)

５、ターラの体(二時間)

６、ターラの衣(二時間)

八時間は基礎の仏さまと女尊(ホワイトターラ、金剛瑜伽女などの基礎的な共通の顔)を学びます。

個人レッスンも最初はこのカリキュラムを学びます。

個人レッスンはこの後にお話ししながら何を描くか決めていきます。

殆どの方がヴァジラパニに進みます。

 

◆質問 ポーバコースのカリキュラムを教えてください。

ポーバを体系的に教えている学校はネパールにも存在しません。 当オンライン教室のオリジナルの教科書を使っています。 チベットタンカのように補助線がないので受講生の画力によって授業の進み方が異なります。 基礎の授業をしっかり受けることで応用がしっかり伸びていきます。

 

◆質問 授業の教科書と準備するものはありますか？

教科書を購入する必要はありません。授業料の振込確認後、教科書の画像を送りますので A4サイズで印刷をしてください。生徒さんで準備していただくものは、A4サイズ以上の白い紙、鉛筆３０センチ以上の定規、消しゴム、 コンパスです。教科書は授業料に含まれています。何かを買う必要はありません。

 

◆質問 カリキュラムにない神様を描きたいのですが学ぶことはできますか？

出来ます。最初の６回の授業の後に描いていきましょう。 教科書を改めて私が描き直すので別料金が５千円から一万円かかります。

 

◆質問 清書をするのにお勧めのペンや筆はありますか？

お勧めのペンはピグマの０．５、０．２５です。二本があればA４サイズのタンカの清書に十分です。 もし筆を考えている場合は筆風サインペン硬筆タイプです。年賀状の住所を手書きする時に描くペン、と言えばわかりやすいでしょうか。 柔らかすぎないので白黒で仕上げるのであればお勧めです。
